Sonya Leonore Stahl graduated from the University of Florida where she studied with Dr. Janna Lower and Dr. Paul Richards. In 2011 she won the blue ribbon for rustic fiddle at the Florida Folk Festival. She plays with the Gainesville Orchestra and Ocala Symphony Orchestra, and is also a fruit scientist.
